We are keen to cater for a wide range of OS interests.  John Alford's 80th Birthday last year reminded us of the achievements of OS artists led by him & now by Philip Woolley.  So we are having a major exhibition of work by professional OS artists at this year's OS gathering on the 9th October.  More than 30 have agreed to exhibit and it will be a chance for the new Headmaster to see the breadth of OS talent.  All OSs, whatever age group, are welcome.

This year's President, Hugh Ramsbotham, decided to hold a number of regional meetings rather than a central Dinner.  After two spelndid events in Birmingham and Rudding Park we are holding a London Dinner is at the East India Club on 22nd September with Ted Maidment as guest speaker.  There is a North-West event at the Cottons Hotel in Knutsford on the 11th November, and discussions about a possible event in Kent.

Overseas we are planning events in October in Boston, Los Angeles, Toronto and Bangkok.  Invitations are sent out to residents in the area, so if you know you are travelling there at that time, check the office for details.  There will be more details in the next Salopian.

There are a number of Old Salopians who receive e-mails from us about current Salopians & young OSs who are looking for internships and jobs.  We have had some very succesful results from these introductions.  For more information contact the office.
