The announcement of Headmaster's retirement in 2010 took many of us by surprise.  The Governor's decision will shape the school for the next decade and we wish them well.  It is too early for valedictions; we will miss Jeremy greatly, but to slightly misquote our President, Lieutenant General Sir Christopher Wallace KBE at his splendid Dinner at Armoury House, "he still has 18 months to mess it up."

We have a wide range of Social events in the year following the excellent Birmingham Dinner at the St Paul's Club.  An OS Football Club Dinner open to all supporters, events at Henley, an OS Meeting supporting the School's production of the Bubble at this year's Fringe, a Gig at the Half Moon in Putney showcasing some of the best young OS musical talent, a lecture 'From Shrewsbury to the World, a debt to Darwin' by Michael Palin in the Alington Hall, our Old Salopian Gathering at the Schools on 10th October, OS Dinners in Boston on 15th October and at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club on 17th October, City Drinks on the 26th November, a Hunt Dinner at the Schools in December, and Shrewsbury Drinks before Christmas.  Put these in your diary.  More information is in the Reunions section of the web site, and more detail will be added as we approach each event.
