Mid-Wales Concert - Friday 17th September 7.30 pm     The President, Hugh Ramsbotham, invites all Salopian supporters to hear the Shrewsbury School Music Scholars performing at the Tabernacle, Machynlleth, Powys and to a 6.30 Reception at this wonderful venue.

Hong Kong Dinner  Sunday 19th September 7.00 for 7.30 pm at the Happy Valley Clubhouse of the Jockey Club.  All OSs, parents, wives, partners, particularly those resident in SE Asia, are welcome to this sit-down buffet style meal with both Chinese & Western cuisines.  We understand that those who have received invitations from the Registrar will be given a price in $ Hong Kong.  Our web shop only operates in sterling where you can buy the tickets at £45 per head and we will bravely accept the currency risk.

London Dinner - Wednesday 22nd September at the East India Club.  This is another in the President's series of regional Dinners, and he particularly hopes to enjoy a reunion of those who attended the Young Members Dinner of 10 years ago, as is our guest speaker Ted Maidment, Headmaster 88-01.  Since the venue holds a maximum of 100 people, Old Salopians will receive priority over wives/girlfriends.  Tickets £65 per head including drinks.  Young OSs under 25 may apply to the office for a reduced rate.  Drinks from 6.30 seating at 7.15, dress lounge suits.

Thursday September 23rd.  For those who may be contemplating sending children to Shrewsbury, the new Headmaster is holding an evening reception at Capesthorne Hall, near Macclesfield.  We hope there will be a strong OS representation, but do encourage non-OS friends to come along.  For an invitation please e-mail nbevan@shrewsbury.org.uk or phone the Office.

Los Angeles Dinner - Thursday 30th September.  Part of our North American regional events program following the March 2009 Survey, full details will soon be published on the website.

Toronto Dinner Saturday October 2nd, at the Toronto Hunt Club.  Champagne Reception at 6.00 pm. followed by Dinner; tickets $100 from the office.

October Day, Saturday 9th October, The Schools.  All OSs, Hon OSs, wives & partners welcome to this multifaceted day.  We are particularly welcoming OSs who left school before 1959.  Commencing with a Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Arnold Ellis at 11.00 am, there will be a major Art Exhibition, with works from more than 40 Old Salopians who have made a career from their Art.  The new Headmaster, Mark Turner, will tell us of his plans at lunch.  After lunch there will be a ceremony to officially open the Fives Courts, which will have been completely refurbished thanks to the generosity of a number of OSs.  Tickets available on the Shop section of this web site. 

Manchester/Cheshire Dinner - Thursday 11th November.  Another in the series of the President's Regional Dinners, kindly organised by Paul Nichols at Cottons Hotel Knutsford for Old Salopians, wives, partners, and past and current parents to meet each other and Mark & Elizabeth Turner.  Tickets are £45.00 through our Shop (Students contact the offfice for £25.00 tickets or contact paul@paulnichols.com)

Worcestershire/Herfordshire Lunch Sunday 21st November. A new Salopian event from the President for all Salopians, their families, past and current parents to enjoy a buffet Sunday lunch together in the splendid 'The Birche', Shelsley Beauchamp, Worcester, home of Mr & Mrs Cox (Parents of Andrew (I) & William (I).  Tickets £25.00 (Children £5.00) Bring your own wine. 

London Drinks.  As normal, the Last Thursday in November (25th) from 6.00 pm at the Institute of Directors, 116 Pall Mall.
